How Long Is The Disney Fireworks Show?
- Patrick Hunter
How Long is the Show? From start to finish, the Disney Enchantment nighttime spectacular has a show length of 15 minutes and 40 seconds. That is approximately 2 minutes shorter than its predecessor Happily Ever After.
When should I wait in line for the Disney fireworks?
The Best Places to Watch Magic Kingdom Fireworks – If you want to see the entire castle projections display, or if it’s your first time seeing it, we recommend staking out a location in the hub (the area in front of Cinderella Castle) or on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Disney Enchantment consists of much more than simply fireworks; the projections and lights are very fantastic and should be viewed at least once.
- This is the first concert to employ projections all the way down Main Street, so this area will also be a popular viewing spot.
- Fall and winter showtimes are often at 8 p.m.
since it becomes dark so early. During the spring and summer, fireworks normally occur at 9 p.m. Always verify the itinerary on the day of your visit. For an excellent central vantage point, you should come at least 60 to 90 minutes in advance. On average days, you may be on the periphery of the hub if you come 45 minutes to one hour before to the start of the performance.
- However, if you come too close to showtime, cast members will typically steer you away from the hub and further down Main Street.
- Due to the fact that this is the first event to use Main Street projections, you may not want to be too near to the castle to fully appreciate the spectacle.
- Once at the Partners Statue and again in the center of Main Street near the Confectionery, we witnessed the performance on consecutive evenings.
We secured both seats around two hours before the event. The Main Street projections were a wonderful addition, but we don’t think you miss out on too much if you observe the show from the castle hub. The castle projections and, of course, the pyrotechnics remain the show’s primary focal points.
Before the performance begins, cast members will use tape to create walkways on the sidewalks. You must ensure that you are standing inside the approved viewing area and not on the taped-off pathways, or you will be asked to relocate. If you dislike huge crowds, we recommend arriving extra early so you may choose a space right in front of a planter or other barrier so you are not surrounded by people.
Cast members will advise audience members to fill every available space, so if you’re not yet comfortable with that, you may want to try an alternative viewing location, which we’ve outlined below. Fireworks Dessert Parties are back if you want a guaranteed position in the center.
Tomorrowland Terrace also allows you to book your viewing location and enjoy a sweet treat. There are now three alternatives available, but regardless of whatever party you select, you will enjoy gourmet sweets crafted by a Disney pastry chef, such as chocolate-dipped strawberries, butterscotch pudding, cheese, and an array of beer and wine.
The first two choices include a reserved standing area in the plaza gardens, while the third choice includes a seat at Tomorrowland Terrance. Learn all about dessert parties in our exhaustive guide!

” Hi Natasha! Welcome to the Moms Panel for Disney Parks! In just a few days, you will be able to spend time at Magic Kingdom Park. Yay! There is nothing quite like the closing days of a countdown to get me excited about our next trip, especially since we will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.
I have fantastic news for you! Even though it occurs at 9:00 P.M. on days when Magic Kingdom Park shuts at 9:00 P.M., the Happily Ever After fireworks show is still viewable. After the fireworks display concludes, you will simply leave the theme park. On evenings when Magic Kingdom Park shuts early and there is a ticketed event, such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, event tickets are required to stay.
However, you will be able to experience Happily Ever After to conclude your beautiful day! I recommend securing a location in front of Cinderella Castle at least 30 minutes before to the commencement of the fireworks display. You’ll notice that some families locate a location far early. After a long day at the amusement park, it is also advisable to have a food before settling down.
Enjoy your time here, Natasha! Please contact us if you have any more inquiries. Tabitha Useful nine Useful Preserve Sign In to view your saved responses.
Are Magic Kingdom rides available following the fireworks?
Does Fantasyland reopen following the conclusion of Fireworks? Each night in the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, Fantasyland (or portions of it) are closed for the nightly fireworks display that occurs around Cinderella’s and Sleeping Beauty’s Castles.
But all of Fantasyland at Disneyland is closed during fireworks, in the Magic Kingdom, just the area between Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and Cinderella’s Castle is closed, while numerous rides behind the carousel stay open. This is quite unpleasant for many, since a significant portion of the park must close hours earlier than usual.
On occasion, Disney will reopen Fantasyland following the fireworks. The answer to your Disney query relies largely on park hours. If there is sufficient time following the conclusion of the fireworks, Fantasyland will reopen. If the evening fireworks occur close to closing time, Fantasyland will not reopen until the following morning.
- If the fireworks begin at least two hours before the park closes, then Fantasyland will reopen.
- Once that 2-hour window has passed, it makes little sense for Disney to reopen a huge portion of the parks for only a few minutes.
- The current Magic Kingdom fireworks show, “Wishes,” lasts around 12 minutes, and the current Disneyland fireworks spectacular, “RememberDreams Come True,” lasts approximately 16 minutes.
It takes quite some time for Disney to clear Fantasyland after the fireworks, however Fantasyland should reopen 15 to 30 minutes after the conclusion of the show and remain open until park closing. Tonight at the Magic Kingdom, Wishes is set for 9:00 PM, and the park will be open until 11:00 PM, so Fantasyland should be accessible for around 90 minutes after it reopens.
- Please note: Currently, Disneyland is only permitted to showcase its fireworks show on weekend nights (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights), thus Fantasyland will stay open 24 hours a day throughout the week.
- DisAnswers If you want to ride Peter Pan, you should walk to the back of Fantasyland in Disneyland just after the fireworks begin.
Disney will begin a wait for Peter Pan at Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and will only accept around 50 guests. Once Fantasyland is ready to open, that queue will be escorted to Peter Pan and loading will begin. Once this line is in position, the rope will be lowered and everyone else will be let to enter Fantasyland.
Are fireworks nightly in Epcot? The current name of Epcot’s nightly fireworks show is IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, and it begins nightly at 9:00 PM and lasts for 12 minutes, depending on the weather or course. Find a nice place with a reasonable view of the water, and you’ll be able to see Illuminations from anywhere in the World Showcase.
Since 1998, Illuminations has been a feature of the Epcot environment, but it will be replaced later this year. Late Summer or early Fall of 2019 will see the debut of Epcot Forever, an interim show featuring classic Epcot songs that is sure to be a hit with longtime Epcot fans. In 2020, A Celebration of Disney Music will replace Epcot Forever as the next permanent exhibit.
While no particular dates have been disclosed, it appears there will be no transition period, and fireworks will continue to be exhibited every night. Are fireworks nightly in Epcot?
