When Do Halloween Decorations Go Up at Walt Disney World? – From the first half of August to October 31, Walt Disney World celebrates Halloween. Typically, the holiday season begins with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. This event is ticketed and features rare character meet-and-greets, spectacular Halloween entertainment, and incredibly great Halloween party munchies.
Will Disney have Halloween decorations?
Decorations for Halloween – Beginning in mid-August, Main Street, U.S.A. and Liberty Square will be decked out for Halloween at the Magic Kingdom. Check out the pumpkin citizens, who resemble scarecrows and are located in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A.

Do Not Spend an Excessive Amount of Time Waiting for Ride Overlays While it’s always interesting to experience a beloved attraction with a twist, we didn’t find any of the Halloween-themed attraction experiences to be worth the wait.
The party-exclusive modifications to Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and Mad Tea Party are rather small, so don’t expect a drastically different experience. (Before the celebration begins, the rides will close for a brief transitional time.) We would not wait more than twenty to thirty minutes for any of these.
Check them out if you can catch a small queue (like our walk-on for Pirates). Save Trick-or-Treating till the final hour At the park’s entrance, customers receive goodie bags. It is a neat bonus, although they are quite little. Consider bringing additional bags if your youngsters intend to collect candy.
- You may also purchase appropriate memento bags! Lily’s favorite part of the celebration is trick-or-treating, although she enjoys saying “trick or treat” as much as she enjoys the candy.
- There are candy stations located around the park.
- Trick-or-treating later in the evening saves time and avoids crowds.
If the queue for treats is lengthy, do not wait. Visit a different location or return later. During the last hour of a Halloween celebration, trick-or-treat queues are virtually nonexistent, allowing you to easily jump from house to house. Costume Guidelines – Character to Costume: 20 MNSSHP Group and Individual Costume Ideas For all Guests: Disney has the right to deny admittance to or remove any individual whose apparel is deemed unsuitable or may distract from the enjoyment of other Guests.
All Guests are permitted to dress as their favorite character, but they are not permitted to pose for photographs or sign autographs for other Guests. Costumes must be appropriate for all ages and cannot be disruptive, insulting, disagreeable, or aggressive. Weapons that resemble or might readily be confused for genuine weapons are prohibited in costumes.
Costumes may not contain any sharp or pointy objects or materials that might inadvertently cause injury to another Guest. Guests who do not comply with these restrictions may be denied access and/or removed from the park, unless their costume can be adjusted to satisfy the aforementioned requirements.
- For Guests ages 13 and under: Costumes and some masks are permitted, provided that the mask does not cover the entire face and the eyes are visible.
- For Guests older than 14: It is strongly discouraged to wear costumes or costume accessories that cover the entire body and may be subject to additional security screening.
The ground may not be reached or dragged by costumes. (such as long Princess dresses) If the length of the cape does not extend below the waist, it may be worn. Can Halloween decorations be put up in July?
The real holiday is on October 31, but preparation and excitement for Halloween and all of its customs may linger throughout the whole year. While the most typical period for Halloween decorating is after Labor Day, don’t let anything or anybody stop you if you want to start early.
